Lazos de Investigación junto a DevTech y USAID
Trabajaremos en una investigación conjunta sobre migración en América Latina y el Caribe
Tenemos el
agrado de anunciar que el Centro de Políticas basadas en Evidencia (CEPE) de la
Escuela de Gobierno de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) fue seleccionado
para colaborar en investigaciones en América Latina y el Caribe dentro de la
Iniciativa Lazos de Investigación ("Research Linkages Initiative"),
financiada por la Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo
Internacional (USAID).
Como aliado académico de DevTech, implementador del Contrato de Servicios de Apoyo Técnico Educacional en América Latina y el Caribe de USAID, en una primera fase el CEPE pondrá a disposición sus recursos y expertos para asistir a USAID en investigaciones sobre migración e inclusión laboral de poblaciones vulnerables. La región experimenta una de las mayores crisis migratorias de la historia reciente, incluyendo más recientemente la migración masiva de venezolanos. Nuestro objetivo es comprender aspectos clave de la migración y sus efectos, tanto en los países de origen como en los de destino. A tal fin, analizaremos regímenes migratorios, acuerdos y políticas existentes, y patrones de integración de los migrantes, su dinámica sociodemográfica y económica, y su incidencia en los mercados laborales de llegada.

We are pleased to announce that the Evidence-Based Policy Center (CEPE) of the School of Government at Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT) has been selected to collaborate on research in Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the Research Linkages Initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
As an academic partner of DevTech, implementer of the USAID Latin America and the Caribbean Educational Technical Support Services Contract, under which the Research Linkages Initiative falls, CEPE will, in the first phase, provide its resources and experts to assist USAID in research on migration and labor inclusion of vulnerable populations. The region is experiencing one of the largest migration crises in recent history, including the recent massive migration of Venezuelans. Our goal is to understand key aspects of migration and its effects, both in the countries of origin and destination. To this end, we will analyze existing migration regimes, agreements, and policies, integration patterns of migrants, their sociodemographic and economic dynamics, and their impact on labor markets in the destination countries.
We appreciate USAID's recognition of our work and capabilities to carry out this pioneering agreement, the first of its kind in the region with a top-tier university like UTDT.
