History
The ENI Di Tella was formally created as a research center within the School of Business at the University Torcuato Di Tella in 2009. This initiative was the result of a collaborative process among individuals united by a common interest in Inclusive Business in the academic, private, public and social sectors.
Works such as The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid (C.K. Prahalad 2008), Banker to the Poor (Yunus 2008), and different experiences in Latin America, invited us to take a broader look at business and envision it as a mechanism for inclusion.
In its native Spanish, the acronym ENI refers to a ‘Space’ for Inclusive Business, a title chosen deliberately to encompass the breadth of the program. In addition to investigating, generating and spreading knowledge about Inclusive Business, the ENI also supports the development of workshops and projects, accompanying diverse organizations (from both the public and private sectors) in the process of envisioning and implementing Inclusive Business.
