Abstract
We find the convex hull of a prescribed set using a geometric evolution of a hypersurface that surrounds the set. To find the convex hull, we study the large time behavior of solutions to an obstacle problem for the level set formulation of the geometric flow driven by the minimum of the principal curvatures. We prove that the positivity set of the solution to this obstacle problem converges as time goes to infinity to the convex hull of the obstacle. Our approach is based on a game-theoretic approximation for this geometric flow that is inspired by previous results for the mean curvature flow.

Julio Daniel Rossi. Doctor en Matemática de la UBA (1996). Fue profesor/investigador en Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile), Madrid (España) y Alicante (España). Actualmente se desempeña en la UTDT, donde realiza investigación sobre Ecuaciones Diferenciales y Análisis Matemático. Ha dirigido cinco tesis doctorales (tres en Argentina, una en Colombia y una en Brasil) y varios posdoctorados. Publicó 3 libros y más de 250 trabajos en revistas internacionales que han recibido más de 4800 citas por más de 2200 autores diferentes. Es miembro del comité editorial de 10 revistas internacionales. Fue conferencista invitado en numerosos congresos internacionales, entre ellos en el Mathematical Congress of the Americas 2021. Fue distinguido con el Premio a la Mejor Tesis en Ciencias Matemáticas 1994-1997 (1998), el Premio de la Academia de Ciencias (2006), el Premio Houssay (2009), el Premio SEMA (España) (2011), y recientemente recibió el Diploma al Mérito Konex (2023).
