The educational mission of the Latin American International Tax Program (LAITP) is to provide leading lawyers and business graduates with the finest intensive education on international taxation available in Latin America. The program’s primary goal is to challenge traditional disciplinary boundaries by teaching in fields that require problem-oriented interdisciplinary approaches.

The Program focuses on the structure of the international tax regime as implemented by the U.S. and certain Latin American countries. It is based on case studies from investments from the United States, Europe and Asia to Latin America (and vice versa). Emphasis is given to the interaction of the Latin American tax treaty network with other tax treaty networks (such as those of Asia, Europe, and the US). The Program also focuses on landmark tax litigation crucial to tax professionals doing businesses in Latin America.
